INTERVIEW WITH SHITAL DUTTA - BY NAINIKA GAUTAM

Born and brought up in Bundu, a small town near Ranchi, Shital Dutta is currently pursuing his graduation in Chemistry. Blessed with a dream family and some awesome friends, he believes in learning from every experience and aspires to be a teacher. He loves travelling, music and of course books.
He can be contacted at --

Please tell us something about yourself.
Hello, this is Shital Dutta. I belong to a small town near Ranchi and doing my graduation in Chemistry. A little reserve by nature, I am a family person and value relations & emotions over any other things. An avid reader; A Bollywood buff and A music addict are few facts which aptly describe me. My ambitious heart and fickle mind coax me to have atypical experiences which actually taught me lessons of life and also sprinkled the truth that I wanted to be a teacher.

What is it in teaching that you chose it to be a profession?
Education is what builds one’s life, I’ve been always learnt and felt that. To me, educating peoples is as meaningful as saving lives. I’ve grown up, holding this as my dream…a dream of educating peoples. And I feel proud in paying a contribution towards such a noble deed, as it delights me. And it also helps me to polish my mind and skills.

How do you think can you inculcate a teacher’s characteristics to your writing?Actually, being a teacher and a writer of me aren’t really related to each other. Both are different, each having its own significance. When we teach, we state a point and try to expound others by our logics, knowledge or experiences. But while writing, we need to visualize, feel and then express. I think, we teach for others but we write for ourselves and it happens from heart only. The magic of words has always used to amaze me. And I wanted to explore myself in this magical world. You know, it’s really awesome to express what our heart feels.

How different is life after being an author?
Well, there are no major changes yet.  Maybe, after the release of the book something grand would happen. Though it’s really wonderful to hear people calling you ‘The proud of city’ and I’m quite liking it, needless to say.

Profession or passion, what would you chose if given a choice?
I haven’t really thought about it yet. I love giving words to my thoughts and so I write. And luckily, it’s going to publish, that too in the very first time!! Frankly, it was a surprise for me. But I’m taking it a bit seriously now and I wish to write more.

What is the strongest part of your writing?
Umm….it’s a tough question. I write what I see around, what I feel. And so my writing seems realistic, with which you will feel connected. You will live my words. And I think, that’s makes my writing potent.

Tell us something about your story in “The Notebook of Romance”.
My story is about a young boy, in love and how his life changes after that, unwillingly. This is a young romance emulsified with hopes & aches which will leave you all pensive. It’s titled “Desired Sin”.

Tell us something about the lead characters of your story.
Ayaan & Maahi are leading the story. They are today’s youngsters and reflect the mindset of this generation.

So do you actually believe being in love is a sin?
No. I believe that love completes us. It’s a bliss to love and to be loved. This is the world that forces us to believe like love is a sin. And the worst part is, we let the world do so.

What are the most striking features of your story?
Desired Sin is quite similar to you or the person next to you. You will relate yourself with the characters.  You’ll go through the joy of being in love and the hatred for love too.  The story will keep you glued to the last word. Also, it takes a dig at the thinking of our society regarding love.

How is the experience with Gargi Publishers?
Amaziggggg. They work in a very professional manner yet keeping a friendly approach and make us feel a special & active part of the family.  I am thankful to Gargi Publishers, especially Pulkit sir for giving me this golden opportunity and would love to work with them again. May they achieve more!

What would be your message for the readers?
The joy of living is in loving. Let yourself fall in love and feel its magic, the rest shall follow.
And yes- share your reviews about my story as well as the book. Eagerly waiting! Be happy, Keep reading.
Thank you.

How do feel to being part of this anthology which is your debut story?
It is like a dream come true. This is a great achievement for me. Although luck and randomness are a big part of it. I myself felt my story is little immature and never ever thought it will get published. It really feels great to see the proud faces of my family and teachers.

Being a commerce student, How did you develop your interest in writing?
It was just a result of my boredom and I have been reading for a long time since childhood. Being a commerce student, I didn't had much pressure of studies. Just to keep myself busy I created my personal blog on Facebook and started writing. Slowly people started noticing and appreciating my work. My friends and followers of my blog are really who motivated me to write.

Where do you see yourself in future as a writer?
I was never too ambitious. It is just my luck that I'm a published writer now. Campus Crush has guided me well. I wish to get publish my 250 pages book one day and be a renowned author.

Which genre do you find most interesting to write and why?
I find romance most interesting as it is always relatable and takes us into a complete imaginary world for time being.

Tell us something about your story “Campus Crush” in Notebook of Romance.
Love and crushes are just part of our life and is not always eternal. Campus Crush will show that. It is basically the story of every teenager. It has romance, betrayal, friendship. It is about a shy girl who falls for Mr. Popular of her college and her experiences thereafter.

Tell us something about the lead characters of your story.
My lead characters Navya and Girish are someone, whom every teenager would like to idealise. Navya is shy and mature while Girish is confident and extrovert.

How close is your story to your real life?
Campus Crush is just a part of my imagination. Although, I am very much like my lead character Navya but the plot of the story is strictly a fiction. It has no resemblance to my real life. And as it is my first story, so obviously it is very close and important to me.

What was your motive behind writing this story?
I had a story in me, one that only I could write, and I had to get it out. My blog teach me when it comes to story most of the people are always hungry for romantic fiction. It was both my desire and randomness which brought out Campus Crush.

Which part of the story did you find most impressive?

I really love the ending of my story. It creates a good suspense and mystery. It also shows the reality of teenage's life. Every youth passes this confusing stage. I wouldn’t like to reveal much since the book isn’t out. I want the surprise to be there.

INTERVIEW WITH KUMAR VIKRANT- BY NAINIKA GAUTAM

Kumar Vikrant is a short story author and novelist. His works as a writer have recently appeared in over a dozen online publishing sites, including Reflection Mag, Booksie and Authonomy. His favorite genre is Mystery & Crime, on which most of his writings are based. His writings are due for publication in the upcoming anthologies, '31 Sins,' 'The Case Files of the Dead' and 'Winged Heart.' When he’s not frightening readers with his writing, he’s most likely frightening his office colleagues.
He can be contacted at:

How would you define yourself?
I'm basically a storyteller. Administrator under state government of UP, but a storyteller by heart.

Working with online publishing sites, do you see any big differences between online and offline publishing?
Working with the online publishing site is just like an actor working in a theater. Her/His good performance is applauded and bad one is shunned immediately by the spectators.

You create your story/poem/article, post it on an online publishing site and press the publish button. Your work is online and within half an hour there are fifty or so messages from critics all over the world, telling you how well/bad did you do. One grammar expert from England telling how grammatically were you wrong or right and so on. You learn a lot from these sites.

On the other hand being an offline published writer is a dream of every writer/poet. You touch your book, you feel it. Your book is sold all over the world. And one day your publisher is insisting you to send your work to get it published traditionally. I've experienced it all during my online and offline publishing.

There are many anthologies that have flooded Indian markets recently, what makes you participate in certain competitions?
Well, I love particularly writing in some certain genres, which are mystery & crime, horror, women’s issues. So I chose the one which caters to my taste.

What is our perception of success in Literary Industry?
The only thing which persists is, if you are a good writer/poet you'll stay in this industry otherwise no publicity stunt or commercials shall be able to sell your second book.

Mystery and Crime, which is quite interesting to write, but difficult at the same time, do you feel any pressure while writing your stories.
Yeah, as a mystery & crime genre writer, I need to be updated with modern weapons, scams, loot tactics and such other things on a regular basis. Besides, I need be updated how the authorities are coping with modern criminals and so on. You cannot use an outdated technology to write a modern crime fiction. You cannot rely on basic phones, you need to know how satellite phones work and who provide them and their services. You need to know how the hackers operates and so one, pretty tough business you know...

Tell us something about your story, “The Bride” in Moonlit Matinee-3.
'The Bride,' is a fact based fiction. One of my friends went through it all before dying. He was possessed by a female ghost, who would always appear in Hindu bridal attire before him. Once he was staying with me and he told me about his every night ordeal. We slept in the same room. Early in the morning I asked him if she had appeared in that night night. He answered positively and, I trembled...phew.. She left me alone. Only the bride and her possession part are fact and rest is a fiction, a creation of my own mind.

How did you come up with such a unique plot?
After writing one fictitious horror story for another anthology, which is about to hit the market, I felt this true story must be written and told to the world.

Please tell us something about the lead characters of the story.
There is Sagar, a fictitious name, is possessed by the bride is an innocent boy. He does all his best to go through this every night ordeal and live a normal life. The Bride, we know nothing about her, her origin etc, but she plays a pivotal role in this story. There is a ruthless doctor who wrote his patient's death certificate before he actually died. This doctor guy is again taken from real life, my doctor brother told me about.

Which part of the story was the most difficult one to write for you?
'Night Of Bride.' was the most difficult chapter for me to write. I'm not at ease, writing love making scenes. My stories have always been for general readership, so I had to stir through a very hot water to write this chapter.

Which part of the story is the part that you enjoy reading the most?
This story is based on a tragic life of an innocent boy, there was nothing which I could enjoy about this story. The moments which Sagar shared with Meenakshi are somehow my favorite, of course again part of my own imagination otherwise in reality the marriage was arranged by his parents.

How was experience with Gargi Publishers?
Awesome experience. People at Gargi really know how to keep the writers involved and interested in their publication. This is my first experience with Gargi, but I'll write again for this publication if given a chance.

What would be your message for our readers.
Please buy your copy of, 'Notebook Of Romance.' Give us your feedback, we need it desperately.

She has worked previously with the reputed Broadcasting media groups & Print media. She has been volunteering for the American Red Cross nowadays, a kind courtesy for the community sharing & giveback. She is smitten with Music; Books; Travel, Movies; Nature and Photography.

After contributing in so many books, didn’t you feel you can write a book as well?
Yes! I have been contributing to various National & International Anthologies in past few months, now I feel ready to pen down my debut novel. Let’s hope for the best.

Being a homemaker, how do you manage time for writing?
As a mom of 2 vivacious kids, my feat is in multi-tasking! Writing is my passion and I write after my usual workday commitments, it’s same like “Me time” for me when I can write, watch movie, chat or engage myself in any hobby which makes me happy.

Where do you see yourself in future as a writer?
I live life as it comes. So I haven't set any fixed targets for my “future timeline” except to continue pursuing my passion for writing and take one step ahead on this journey. And keep learning from life odds choices and continue to feel inspired from reader’s accolades & adoration.

What according to you is strongest part of your writing?
I think my readers are the best persons to answer this question. But penning down poetry is my love & inspiration. Nothing gives me pure joy than reading beautiful verses and sharing my musings with the world.

Tell us briefly about your story in Moonlit Matinee 3.
My story in the Moonlit Matinee 3 “SMS Wars” revolves around relationship of a couple who have not yet mastered the art of communication but needs intervention emotively to bail each other miseries & to find love *reconnect each other via SMS/Text chat.

Do you believe that in today’s world where marriages and breakups are so common, a marriage can actually so love to last so long?
I believe there are no such things like perfect relationships; it’s from the various imperfections we all have to strive for something, which we can safely assume as- secure or committed relationship. If it’s not successful than there is no choice but to move on in life than ruminating over it again & again. Heartbreaks are common as Crushes are common too. Love is nothing but a beautiful expression shared between two people & to keep flame burning it takes two to tango!

Why do you feel your story deserves to be a part of this book?
Asit resonates well with the theme of the book series- “The Notebook of Romance”.

How did you come up with the plot?
The plot isinspired from the idea of our Hi-tech lifestyle. Everyday we all are on the various social media platforms & chat groups, rather than calling each other, we all text each other, in groups or personally. This has given me the idea for my story plot, to find the lost connection between my story central characters Ritesh & Aria via SMS/text chat.

What is the part of your story that you as an author enjoyed most?
I have put the cupid angel reference in this story & few lighter monologues of my main female character, Aria, which are rib tickling in its tones.

How is experience at Gargi Publishers?
My experience with Gargi Publishers is very pleasant. The team is very professional & deft in its approach. I wish them best of luck for their future projects.

What message would you like to give to our readers?
Live Life! Sharing one of my favorite Rumi Quote- “Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.” Cheers.

He could be contacted at:
Email - https://www.facebook.com/rishikesh.pande
Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/rishikesh.pande

How do you define yourself?
Even I’m trying to decipher answer to this question and may be that is why I’m into writing. I’m trying to explore myself and the world through my writings. This book and publication of my story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, is the new beginning for me and hopefully my work will define me hereafter. I will let my work to define me.

What is the part of your writing which you consider to be strongest?
Being a feminist, directly or indirectly, strongest part of my writing would be social issues, feminism and patriarchy. These are the topics that have channelized my thoughts into writing. People rebel against the paradoxical norms of the society in their own ways, for me it was writing.

Do you have any specific writing style?
I try to explore depth of emotions in my simple and unique prose, very similar to the one used by George Orwell, Franz Kafka or Albert Camus, which is visible in my stories and poetries. I also focus on psychological aspect a bit more than the imagery. I don’t want my readers to watch it as a movie through their imagination or feel the depth of emotions; I want them to do both of these simultaneously. I have tried to do just that in my story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’.
For writing poetries, I’m more comfortable with free verse poetries.

How do you see success in writing world?
In writing world, success doesn’t come easily but once it comes, it changes life completely. But, success for me is being able to write more and more till my last breathe without changing much of my life. Success for me isn’t the ‘last best book’ but the ‘next best book’. I don’t want to be famous; I want my work to be famous.

Articles, stories, poems, what do you enjoy most?
I have written article and got published in ‘YouthKiAwaaz’ for it. I have written story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, and got published in ‘Moonlit Matinee 3’. I have written poem and got published in eFiction India Magazine. Even though I have written all three, I enjoy poetry the most.
When emotions are too overwhelming, poetry comes to me naturally. I write poetries when I’m at the heights of emotions. I let my emotions out easily through poetries. I feel relieved and relaxed after writing them.

Tell us something about your story in “Moonlit Matinee 3”.
First of all, I would like to thank and dedicate this story entirely to Miss Ruchi rai who has been of great help throughout writing of this story.
Every story can be told through not one, not two but multiple sides. Who knows which side of the story might turn out to be the best one? I have tried to capture both, a girl’s and a boy’s, sides of the story along with a third one which is ‘their’ side of the story.
My story is about a boy and a girl who fall in love with each other at first sight and decide to take it one step further. To give a teaser of my story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, let me quote my dear friend, Ruchi Rai’s, favorite line:
“Her eyes whispered, come closer to me, while his nervous smile was asking for a permission to come closer.”

Please tell us something about lead characters of your story.
Both leading characters, the boy and the girl, are bookworms. They both love the same genre, Romance, and love the same book by Nickolas Sparks. They both have an idea of falling in love at first sight and unconditional love.
The place where the climax takes place is of equal importance. You will definitely fall in love with both characters and the place. The story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, gives insights into both protagonists and the place.

Do you believe that in order to write a beautiful romantic love story one needs to live that kind of life?
Yes, of course. One must live and experience Love to truly write a beautiful romantic love story. I hate the fact that, the kind of love young generation experiences now-a-days is a bit shallow. One must love someone passionately and unconditionally. One must love and let it kill you. True love is unconditional, pure and beautiful that most of the young generation fail to understand. To all of them, all I can say is, open your heart to someone, lock the doors and hand over the keys!
I must also mention here that, I’m in love with someone and I truly understand the passion, the hatred for distance which separates them and much more. I guess my true love for ‘the love of my life’ did help me in writing a beautiful romantic story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’.

What is the basic motive behind your story?
A Kiss; the silence before, during and after the kiss. But the basic motive behind writing my story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, was kissing ‘the love of my life’ for the first time. ‘She’ is the inspiration behind this wonderful story. The climax of the story is exactly how I imagined kissing her. My story beautifully captures the emotions of lovebirds and the kiss. I wanted my readers to truly feel the magic of kissing.

How did you come up with the plot of your story?
Holstee Manifesto states that travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. I have travelled many times to and fro between Aurangabad and Pune. My story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, captures various events happening during the travel. I had a vague idea in mind and with this experience of travelling as a background, I started writing this story and it just happened.

How is experience working with Gargi Publishers?
Mr. Pulkit Gupta and the entire team at Gargi Publishers have been very professional in their work. Mr. Pulkit Gupta has been very helpful and has solved all of our queries in timely manner. He even guided us and it has been a great journey with Gargi Publishers creating a lot of good memories.

What would you like to say to our readers?
Read my story, ‘A Tale of Silent Kiss’, and do give your valuable feedbacks. I will appreciate both positive as well as negative feedbacks try to grow as an Author.

Every year my father gives me one diary which he gets from his office, I take it from him and start writing my thoughts my experiences and this way I started writing my imaginary world in to those diaries. I started writing poetries, shayaris and stories. With time my interest has increased. And today writing is my passion.

Where do you see yourself in future as a writer?
All I want is to write write and write. I don’t write for become famous. I write for myself. I write to express my feelings. In future also I just want people to read what I will write and understand the real me.

Romantic genre being your favorite genre. But these days we see a shift of reader’s interest from Romantic genre to others. Do you feel your work is strong enough to attract readers?
Actually I never thought about such thing. Whether my work is attracting people or not that is not my look out. I just want that people should understand whatever I want to convey through my stories and if it is done then I will be satisfied.

How is life as an author?
Life as an author is really tough actually. We live in imaginary world and real world as well. But being an author is different too. I would say it’s unique. To express yourself through your words is not easy. Overall for me I feel blessed that I am an author. It’s awesome.

Tell us something about your story “Love Inspires” in Notebook of Romance.
Love Inspires is a story in which two persons met on such a weird place. It’s not just about love but it shows the reality about our society. It is about humanity. How a guy help a girl without expecting anything in return! How they fall in love without exchanging such decorative words! How his love inspires her to fight for her own freedom! “Love Inspires” tells us the meaning of Unconditional Love. And to discover these things you have to read the story.

Tell us something about the lead characters of your story.
There are three lead characters in the story. Arjun, Meera and Chandaji. All of them are from really different backgrounds. Arjun is the guy who is fade up from his life and unsuccessful relationships. Meera had lost her family in natural disaster at the age of 21. But then she met an unknown lady Chandaji who offered her to work at her brothel as a maid.

How close is your story to your real life?
Actually it is really close. Though I never faced such situations in my life the way I narrated in the story. But being a girl I can understand how it feels. This story of mine is actually a dedication to all the girls who faced such physical harassment and to those guys who help such girls to get out of it.

What was your motive behind writing this story?
Through this story I want to convey the message that love really do exist. Love doesn’t see how you look, from where you are, it just focuses on who you are!!

Which part of the story did you find most impressive?
My favorite part of the story is when Arjun decided to help Meera to get out from the web of Chandaji without expecting anything from Meera. Now how he helped her, for that one has to read the story.

How is experience at Gargi Publishers after two anthologies with them?
I feel really lucky that I could work with Gargi Publishers. It is always been a great great opportunity. Pulkit Sir is such a nice soul. I won’t forget this experience ever as I have started my journey with Gargi Publishers under the guidance of Pulkit Sir. He is always being helpful. His dedication towards his work is incredible. He is my inspiration.

What would be your message for readers?
All I want to say to all the readers is to read my story “Love Inspires”. Because this time it is something different and I want them to understand what I wanted to convey. I want them to get inspired by the story and be a good person and love unconditionally.

INTERVIEW WITH JAYANTH MAJETHY- BY NAINIKA GAUTAM

Jayanth Majety is an avid reader, a full time technical writer and a part time blogger. He loves traveling to various places and experimenting with different cuisines that he comes across. His interests also include trying his hand at cooking in his leisure time.
He can be contacted at:
Twitter - @ jayanthmaniac.

So Jayanth, How do you define yourself?
Well, that’s a good way to start with. I define myself as calm and composed at any given time. I spend most of the time contemplating about various things that people have no idea of. After realizing my interest towards writing, I began to create characters from nowhere. And I kind of enjoy developing the same.

So being a technical writer you even write various genres in fiction writing, how do you manage the gap between them?
It’s all about adapting. When I write technical, I don’t really have to sound fictional. When it is something that I am not aware of, I prefer to go with reality. And penning down the same has to be after a thorough research. In a job that I am in today, I take inspiration from the fellow writers.

How do you see success in literary world?
For me, as far as success is concerned, it is the reader’s reaction after reading the story. Doesn’t matter if it is a positive comment or a negative one. I only look for the comment. One will always see success in literary world when he/she write stories that are more about people living around. There should always be a great connection between story and the reader. And narration of course! It makes all the difference.

Do you have a specific writing style?
Well, I can’t answer that. People who read what I write will have the answer to say. But, I have been told that, I had a very simple writing style that is easy for people to read and understand. In short,
Lucid way of writing style when it comes to literary terms.

What do you think is the strongest part of your writing?
I don’t complicate things while writing. And also, I will not have anything on mind when I start to write. It’s all about the starting that I look forward to. But once I start, everything just starts to fall in place. I had this habit of creating characters and scenes while in the middle of a paragraph. So, it’s like I can keep writing any number of words without having a clear story on mind.

Tell us something about your story in “Moonlit Matinee 3”.
It’s about a women or a girl. Written in a female perspective. Just an attempt to let people know of the reality.

Please tell us something about lead characters of your story.
I wish to only talk about the lead character. It’s about the unnamed women in the story who had only 3 men in her life. The story is all about the effect of their presence had on her life and the after affects.

Do you believe that in order to beautiful romantic love story one needs to live that kind of life?
It would be great to live that kind of life if you ask me. But, some stories are far from reality. It’s all about the two people involved. The love and understandings will take them to their true place.

What is the basic motive behind your story?
Every single women in this country or may be around the world will have this ‘3 Men in her life’. And that’s how it’s happening for years.

How did you come up with the plot of your story?
As I told you before, I had nothing in mind when I started to write up for Gargi Publishers. A matter of 2 nights with a constant flow of writing made this story. I contemplate over writing the next scene or situation by the end of the existing one. But the only time taking process is the linking and I am trying to learn that.

How is experience working with Gargi Publishers?
Wonderful so far. It feels so good to work with a passionate team that works so professionally. I would like to thank the entire team of Gargi Publishers for giving me such a wonderful opportunity. It’s a great feeling to get published isn’t it?

What would you like to say to our readers?
The question itself is giving me some Goosebumps. I find myself so empty to answer this one. But what I personally think is, a writer will have nothing much to say, but a reader will have a lot to say once after he is done with reading the book. So, I hope ‘The Notebook of Romance’ will entertain every reader with variety of stories this Valentine’s day.

A German language teacher by profession, she loves to explore new cities and cultures. Writing is her hobby since childhood. She was one of the winners of an essay writing competition held all over India and Sri Lanka by the German Academic Exchange Service in the year 2010. Her poems were also published in the Annual Magazine of the German Department of University of Pune. She is an avid blogger. Her favorite form of literature is poetry. Besides literature and philosophy, she enjoys movies, music, make-up tutorials on YouTube and good food. The author believes in the interdisciplinary nature of literature and also believes in literature that pushes the readers to see beyond the obvious.
She can be reached at:
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shruti.narayanan

Tell us something about yourself?
I was born and brought up in Mumbai, in a very cosmopolitan society. I finished my graduation there and later shifted to Pune to pursue my Masters in Germanic studies. I was then teaching German language at the University of Pune and pursuing M.Phil. Research. A work opportunity last year brought my husband and me to Germany.

Living life of achievements, how do you manage things?
If achievement is defined as having people around who love me unconditionally, as having a beautiful house and as getting to eat delicious food, then yes I have achieved all of this! For me, an achievement would also be to lead a healthy life. I am still getting there... As far as other achievements in life are concerned, well they are nothing but incidental.

Being a teacher or being a writer, what do you enjoy most?
Teaching and writing are different and also similar in a lot of ways. Teaching is a selfless profession wherein a teacher has to always think from a student's perspective. In writing, I get to choose the plot, the characters. My ideology can have a strong voice. The one thing similar to both these professions is that one always remains a learner and proudly so! I enjoy both equally.

How different is life as an author?
Penning down stories is a very intense experience. One is always surrounded by thoughts of the story and the characters. An author is never really alone while writing, even if it so appears to the outside world. Finally, when the story comes out alive in print...oh how wonderful those pages smell!

What is the part of writing process that you hate most?
The number of drafts it takes for the final one. How I wish the first draft was always perfect and the final one!

Tell us something about your story in “The notebook of romance”.
My story 'A Leap of Faith' is a tale of a young woman and her experiences in a new life situation. She dares to love but does she dare to fulfil her commitment? The story has my favourite element of melancholy to it.

How close is your story to your real life?
Majority of my story is set up in Mumbai and Goa. I have experienced these two cities up and close. So yes, the descriptions of these cities stem out of my experience. The rest is my fictional mind at play.

How did you come up with the plot?
The underlying motif of my story is a cause that is very close to my heart and I always wanted to write something centered around it. It was not a totally planned plot. I just went along with the flow of my thoughts. Now as to what this underlying motif exactly is...I want the readers to have lots of fun while exploring it!

Which character of your story is the one whom you would love to make part of your own life?
That character would definitely be the protagonist's best friend Advik. It would feel so good to have that one friend, with whom one shares a very special bond.

Which is the part of your story you enjoyed most?
This is a tough question. Each and every part of my story is special to me. If I have to choose then yes, I enjoyed writing about the part where Sahana (the protagonist) moves to Goa and her adventures thereafter. I love beaches, nature...that is where the charm of life lies.

What are features of Gargi Publishers you like the most?
Gargi publishers is a dream team to work with. They are extremely professional. We were always informed about the progress of the book in all its stages. Gargi publishers take a great effort in marketing the books in an innovative manner. They have given us a great platform and the cherry on the icing is that the book will be released in the New Delhi World Book Fair.

What would be your message for our readers?
Follow your instinct after having conscientiously debated with your intellect :)
