Let us know more about her:

      1.   What inspired you to write for Crumpled Voices?

There are many things lying dormant in our subconscious which usually are pushed back time to time so that we don’t feel disturbed. But Crumpled Voices gave a chance to open that subconscious mind and helped to present the reality without sugar coating! It was like a challenge, and completing the story was like heaving a sigh of relief!

    2.   Tell us a bit about your story and the main character.

This is a story of three women who are fighting to survive, to get life, to break the moulds society has set for them..Megha, is a child of brutal marital rape whose childhood was snatched by the weird circumstances. Fighting all odds patiently she suddenly finds herself in a strange situation. The dilemma of being judgmental or a forgiving soul, she is on threshold of confusion once again where only she can make a difference!

    3.   What do you think about the title of the book?

As all the stories are set on theme of social evil, this title speaks volumes! However crumpled but the voices are there! Need I say more? :)

    4.   Is your story fictional or drawn from a real life character?

Although it is a fictional one but some situations are real, which I witnessed, heard and which were shared with me. So it was like a burden on chest and wanted to come out.

    5.   How do you think can the current situation of our country be changed, in favor of the safety of women?

Women need to come out of that delicate mode and should learn to be tough. I especially want mothers to stand by their daughters’ in every situation and let them be free of social conditioning. Instead of marrying them off at early age they should be supported in their career orientations. And of course some laws should be strict enough for the culprits so that they think thousand times before committing any crime.

    6.   Have you always wanted to be a writer?
Yes, I knew nothing except writing so this was the only option I had! :)

7.   What is your favorite genre?
Romance, love, and the complexities of mind...

    8.   Who is your favorite writer?

Leo Tolstoy, Ayn Rand.

    9.   Which is the one book that has influenced your life the most?

The Good Earth by Pearl S. Bucks.

    10.   What was the hardest part of writing this story? Any challenges?

Some situations were little graphic so was apprehensive.

11.  Is there a message in your story that you hope your readers will  grasp?

I really don’t know, let readers decide and tell.

     12.  What do you like to do when you are not writing? Hobbies?

Listening to music, singing, reading, cooking, travelling... and there is still so much left to do!

    13.  Are you working on something right now, or just taking a break?

Right now working on my book and few anthologies, and some deadlines to meet urgently!

     14.  Any advice you would like to give to aspiring authors?

Have patience, consistency and above all passion!  If you have fire in your writing you will achieve what you want.

     15.  Any message that you would like to share with your readers?

No one can take you anywhere; it is only you who can change your life!

Thank you so much for your time. It was a privilege interviewing you. :)
