She has won the TechFest in April 2014 at college and state Level. It is said that books are a person’s best friend, so Leepi started spending her time with this special friend who then led her to write stories and poems at an early age. The Times of India gave wings to her writing by publishing her works in their esteemed newspaper. Imagine you are living a stereotype bachelor life and all of sudden a boy pops out of nowhere calling you ‘Dad’. Your life surely going to turn upside down with the fact that only you can see the boy, I mean your future son, who is extremely willing to introduce you to his future Mom.

Hmmm. I know story seems awesome na and truly it is an awesome work by Sandeep Sharma and Leepi Agrawal. A wonderful concept. Title itself will amaze you. Somehow I thought that the story would be of a young aged son trying to patch up his Dad’s lost love as its typical story of some movies. But as soon as I read blurb and dived into novel I found it interesting. The beginning was little bit boring but with entry of Rishi it became catchy. It could be more impressive and different from popular fictions but unnecessary intimate scenes has placed it in category of popular fictions. As described in blurb its really a roller coaster ride of suspense, love and mystery. However fear was the ingredient, which I found missing.

Writing style is also good one. Scribbling scattered across novel are soul-touching and the poem in chapter 19 was out of this world. So wonderful expression of love and it reminded me of Victorian era poets.

I wish great future to both the writers and wish to read many more works from them.

“Hey Dad! Meet my Mom”, doesn’t the title itself pulls you towards it as if holding a mystery and waiting to unveil and read by you. This is a story that revolves around the corrugated edges of protagonist’s life leading you to a suspenseful end and an unpredictable tale. The story covers the uninvited events of Puneet’s life and the story basically showcases the power of true love.

At first, I couldn’t guess what the story would be all about. After going through first few pages, I was not sure what it would serve next. But the turns of unheralded events made me glued to it and I completed it in a single sit. I was enjoying the twist exemplar’s life is having, and I was very much excited to know the amount of wit authors has used in the story and in wait as how they would twist the story.

Use of simple language and a determined flow made it easy to go with the story. For an amateur reader the writing style and the story curves very-well as it hold all the elements a novice is in search of. With a good amount of simplicity it holds, it doesn’t disappoint readers with its content. It proceeds in a very-precise manner outlining and covering the lead elements in a way that reader’s attention doesn’t get diverted from it.

A thread of suspense is nicely knitted in the story which plays it role very-well in order to make the story interesting. Some episodes are really fun in nature and are devoted to true love. Although one couldn’t completely relate to the story but it serves something different that is at least worth a read and squeezes less time of readers.

I found the pace of the story a bit quick as I didn’t get the time and space to get completely dissolve in the story. All the basic elements of the book like storyline, writing fashion, conversation, pace, narration fashion fails to touch the line of perfection. I would say that they all belong to a mediocre ethnicity that a reader who has gone through few books would like to spend some time with.

Mixture of wit, suspense, drooling emotions and love! A light and one-time read! A story dedicated to true-lovers!

A couple of days ago, I found out about this amazing book called, Hey Dad! Meet My Mom… Written by Sandeep Sharma and Leepi Agrawal. As soon as I read the blurb of this book, I knew I had to get my hands on it. There was something strangely beautiful and scary about this book’s title which intrigued me. I knew I just had to contact authors for review copy. One of the authors, Sandeep Sharma, was kind enough to courier me a review copy of this book and that’s when I embarked on the journey of this wonderful story.

If you ask me, the USP of Hey Dad! Meet My Mom is the story. This story is probably the most fascinating stories I have ever read. The story of HDM3 starts with a prologue, giving us the slightest hint of what is coming our way, but leaves us completely guessing at every turn and in utter shock throughout the book. The incidents taking place in the story are so unpredictable that you will never be able to guess what’s going to happen next. The story of HDM3 is like a dream; like a dream, it takes over our mind slowly and steadily with light humor and lollipop and later turns our imagination upside down leaving us baffled and confused at what’s going to happen next.

The most fascinating feature of this book is the dreams. The protagonist sees dreams or nightmares to be precise, in his sleep, which leaves him baffled and in fear and the way these dreams or nightmares have been incorporated in the book was my personal favourite part of the book. The dreams have a meaning, they say. In HDM3, dreams play a vital role. Without dreams, story of HDM3 would have felt like a body without soul. The manner in which authors have written the dreams or nightmares have seriously left me speechless.

Another fascinating feature of this book is original poems which go along with the story and the theme of the book. I really enjoyed the poem with which the novel ends. Every chapter comes with a few original verses which were very unique and interesting. For a poetry lover, this was a bonus! The authors have done seriously great job with original poems. Kudos to them!

But, one thing I didn’t really like about the book was the staleness of the language and the metaphors. Both the writers are still young and they have written a really good story. But, somewhere, the language and the metaphors failed to do justice, to the story. I kept wishing for paragraphs or sentences which I could mark as the noteworthy, but, I came empty handed. All I can say is that, there’s still scope for improvement in the language of both the authors.  

I would rate this wonderful book 3 out of 5 for the unpredictable story and the original poems written by the author. This book is recommended for all the book lovers who enjoy a light read during travelling or for those who love reading on a weekend night tucked in bed. This book is recommended to everyone who loves a good story with humor, romance, and mystery. And last but not the least, this is a book recommended to all the boys whose mothers are probably looking for a bride.

A devoted employee, a devoted son, a committed soul and untouched aspect of his life i.e love. It eludes him and it takes him to depressing waves of alone from where there's no going back. So what brings about a change in his life? Who will bring this change? How will the tussle of that peer marriage pressure end up? Who will take the fall and who will be the king at the end of it all? That's what the story is all about.

Some stories live on the unexpected lines. They devour from only their meat i.e the story line and this is one book which banks on it heavily. The book from all quarter spreads dollops of humor and manages to retain the charm of a witty book. It's not a long story but the presentation itself helps its cause. It keeps the balance maintained between the serious drama and the laughter take on the events. There's always that surprise aspect which keeps the story alive most of the time. It keeps you out of the slumber with it's unnerving and rolled on jokes and awkward scenes.

The book lacks some momentum towards the latter half. It fails to give a settled impression and rushes through. A bit more effort was required to keep the sanctity of the past and seriousness of the situation alive. It has been handled with rough edges. More care and intensity was required on that front in the latter half.

All in all the book is a real cum fiction dial-a-drama where there's loads of fun and tons of quirkiness and chirpiness. It never goes out of the line to make the readers laugh and sticks to the basics till the very end. Even the outlook looks magnificence personified with it's content. A book sure to ignored upon at the first casual glance but not to be written off completely.

A book with title like "hey Dad! Meet my mom" is surely going to develop an interest in you. Considering the same, I picked up this book written by Sandeep Sharma and Leepi Agarwal. I have been knowing Sandeep from a long time through his book reviews and videos that he used to release once upon a time. I always believe that the bloggers who are reviewing books are mediocre writers and therefore when they find a book with unimaginable creativity and in better language than their own, they rate it highly and the one they feel are poorer than what they can themselves attempt, they rate it badly. I believe that even if I'll try very hard my book won't be better than 2.5 stars considering the concept of mediocrity with which I associate every book reviewer with. :-) And I found the same about Sandeep while reading Hey Dad Meet My Mom.

The language of the authors is very simple and anyone who have just started reading novels will like reading this book. I liked that authors kept the book of 155 pages only because nothing new could have been done with the story if it had been thicker by 100 more pages. Initially, the arrival of Rishi does create an interest and I am happy that he is taken off from the story at the right moment as it starts irritating after a time. The flashback of Puneet's life came as a surprise and it develops an interest to read what exactly happened that's causing the traumatic experience in the protagonist's present life. Though I wish if it could have been written from a third person's voice. It would have suited the plot more. I felt in the climax that the concept which the authors are asking us to believe is a mere stupidity but when I searched on Internet about the few references that they have mentioned, I tried to accept the story. Though I am not completely satisfied but still I am not fully dejected by it.

I liked the way authors have tried to introduce a twist periodically to keep the readers intrigued and therefore I rate this book as average. A little mistake could have brought this book in a very bad light. It is surely a page turner as you want to know what exactly is about to get unfolded in the end. I just felt that the limitation of vocabulary and command in English language didn't let the authors express the emotions of each character as they wanted to. Similarly, I didn't find any conversation in sync just because of the same reason- the sentences' formation used to construct the emotions. Rest, I would say an average attempt. It is for the ones who believe in love blindly. I give it 2.5*.

Review:  First look of the cover and Title profession you think that it is the kind of parenting book or a boy searching for his mother. But don’t get yourself fooled by the cover and title. Do read this book. The blurb will make you get attracted to read the book. It is sort of paranormal love story. Not ghosts are involved, but there are certain aspects which makes it Paranormal. But these aspects make the book interesting and you will be hooked to the book till the end. It is completely a page-turner. Every page will make you think what will happen next and it will create your interests to read the book till the end. The concept is unexpected. Whatever concept you thought in your mind, you will find the book totally different. That is the highlight of the book. The book has a certain romantic element, certain fear, darkness and humor, which make it interesting to read. Puneet’s life till the end make the book a very dramatic tale. Overall a nice and Interesting Tale.

Drawback: The concept was very interesting, but I felt it should be more polished. There should be some more witty element. The latter part should have some more maturity element. There should be some more to the story. All the best to both the Authors. Keep writing.

Author Sabi Shaikh in his book "Via Delhi-A Twisted Tale of Love" let readers go through the motions of love and repercussions though the medium of his book. So how different does his book turns out to be? Let's find out.

First look at the title and the cover and Delhi is written all over it. Even the title gives glorious insights about the book that it's based on love. Then there's a blurb which is a roller coaster in itself. It talks about two people and their love for each other. It's a decent blurb leaving the rope in the hands of the readers to pull and unveil the truth.

The story is set off in Hyderabad where Saifuddin Khan is in the process of getting a job. He has pressure from his family, yet there's a sense of freedom. But one day when he comes across Mridu, a girl from Dehradun it slowly turns into love blossoming in two different cities, yet felt and adored upon. But there are hiccups and it's not in their hands to decide their fate. Their castes along with society and family play the perfect villain. So will Saif be able to win his love? Will Mridu stand up to it or chicken out? Or will societal pressure kill one more budding love story? That's what the story is all about.

Once a winner always a winner. Love and romance are the bread and butter of books and it never fails to excite the readers. Be it the simple way or the complicated aspects somehow the story always manages to pull the right strings. This story with it's clean presentation, straightforward approach and no non-sense drama sneaks under the skin. On the expense of the characters the book turns out to be a roller coaster funny ride. There are good chunks of humor and viable romantic nuances to keep the story alive. The societal tussle and great community despair is one of the features of the book and lends a positive side to it.

The downside of the book is lack of a fresh idea. Somehow the story is an age old theory which represents and brings forth nothing new to the table. The book doesn't holds the right spark to stir up a lot of emotions as it goes through the monotonous ride with affluent yet careless manner. Efforts to rejig the entire idea of love could have done wonders to the story. 

All in all the book is a clean yet old warhorse. It carefully balances on the safest of the ideas and never ventures out of the limits. The story with wit and humor creates a good atmosphere but nonetheless it never throws anything peculiar to crave about. There are times the book feels good but then the familiar concepts of love kills the aspiring notion of reading something new. It's a mixed bag with no tricks to woo the readers out of their wits.

Caste-the knife that’s drilling into your soul every moment.

A perfect portrayal of a relationship- the dreams of an individual… A lover and how Caste becomes the antagonist.

The book has a firm start and begins with an usual online chatroom where Saif and Mridu talk with each other and exchange information about themselves, and finally their life begins to take pace.It is a story of the margins, and its main characters act with an impunity that is worth appreciation. A woman, a life, the love …. Yes, at some places the story line is slow but that doesn’t divert you to reach the end. A simple book in layman language which makes it easy to connect .I could feel that the writer has learnt a lot from the surrounding but in his writings he is himself.

Sabi Shaikh a wonderful first novel, Via Delhi – A twisted tale of love, Saifuddin a perfect character.

A tale worth reading for lovers... Expect to have all moments throughout the piece. Highly recommended to youth.

It’s a tale of two cities; a love budding between Mridu from Dehradun and Saifuddin Khan from Hyderabad. As you can obviously guess there is indeed a social barrier between the two. Both happen to meet randomly at an unusual chat room and fall in love. This is a story of you, me and every reader or perhaps every lover.

The book is indeed in every way a twisted tale of love, bait, commitment issues, community divide and a journey of romance. Mridu and Saifu too had to stand the test of love; they had to swim across the tide. This story is yet another epitome of how the strength of love prevails over the shackles of society. There remains a constant hold of the ‘love fragrance’ in the book irrespective of what emotional phases the tale drives you through.

Yes! The book is a main stream love story but very differently narrated. I give a brownie point to the fact that, the book maintains a very steady tempo and is not very melodramatic. The tale unknowingly narrates a very interesting social deficit in acceptance of happiness in love in the background.

The initial chapters are moderately slow but it catches up the tempo gradually and maintains steady. There is a beautiful tinge of the love mischief and the tuffle which is very sweetly narrated. The Author’s language and narration is intermediary and easy going. I have to say, I expected some more surprises or thrills and other elements in the book drawing from what the blurb had to say. It seems that the Author tried to play the safest game and restrained his storyline within the boundaries of much tried and succeeded love angle.

In the end, the epilogue gives a hint of a sequel to this story; that only the Author can confirm!!

I LOVE THIS: The Authors’ balance of pace and the ‘love fragrance’ all through the book till the end.

THIS NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: There is a need to polish the use of language to give it a mature approach. Moreover, there could have been a subtle indulgence of other elements apart from love, given the fact that too much sweet love is contagious. 

ALL IN ALL: The story in all is a beautiful read. Its smooth; no bumpy ride. Readers can’t expect something out of the box or refreshing... but definitely this will remind you of your own love story. So go for it when you want to read something light and breezy!

“Via Delhi-A twisted tale of love” is a beautiful love story by the very talented author Sabi Shaikh. It has been published by “Gargi Publishers”. I just loved the cover design by Amol Karambe. It’s totally apt for the story.

We are all familiar with love stories where ‘boy meets girl, they fall in love and are then opposed by family due to religious differences. Well, Via Delhi is also a similar kind of love story, but with one difference; it’s unique, and will keep you glued to the end. Sabi is a fabulous writer. Period. He has taken something very run- off-the-mill and transformed it into a wonderful love story with a twist, and has definitely not minced his words.

Sabi’s writing style is what I would term in Mumbaiya language as totally ‘Bindaas’. What struck me most about this story is that it is ‘straight from the heart’. It’s almost as if he’s narrating his own story. The emotions are all ‘out there’ and very raw. The more you read about Saif and Mridu (the protagonists), the more you fall in love with their characters, feel their pain, their joy and their intense and unending love for each other.

I feel that through this story, Sabi is trying to stress on the fact that our Indian mentality of ‘log kya kahenge’ is totally screwed up and is capable of destroying the most passionate and beautiful of dreams. At the same time, he wants us to know, that if we show our middle finger to this very attitude, and stick to fulfilling our dreams and passions; nothing is impossible.

I just loved this story and I’m sure everyone else will too. Enough said, a wonderfully written, heart-touching tale, highly recommended by me. A must read.

In my view:

Love or love marriage in our country has long been hated by the silly advocates of orthodox customs and traditions. And in the context of following these age old customs, they destroy people’s lives, prevent love marriages from happening and often kill the lovers if they remain reluctant on their decision to marry.

Thankfully, situations are changing with the evolving outlook. Yet, there are a few fringes who continue to have faith on these age old customs. Sabi Sheikh, through his book, brings a one such story of two lovers.

Set in the city of Nawabs – Hyderabad, this story has two protagonists – Saif and Mridu. Saif, a charming and a well-built Sunni Muslim boy accidentally meets Mridu, a beautiful Bengali Bramhin. They fall for each other and soon get closer, so much that they find it difficult to manage without each other and over-all become each other’s moral support. But in a sweet, happily proceeding love story, there’s always a horrible villain, out there to destroy everything.

If the villain is in the form of religion or caste, combating it becomes as difficult as combating something extraordinarily powerful. So, will there be a barricade to these uncertainties? Will the two be able to get along, despite the stigmatic factor? Will they survive this compression? Or will the “char-log-kya-kahenge” factor swallow their relation? Well, emerging of questions is obvious. However, answers to them are hidden in the story!

The story takes one through the journey of the two lovers – whom their destiny connects and society attempts to divide. The book presents a melodious tale that turns melancholic and then returns back to its original form!

The cover of the book is amazingly designed. It’s intriguing and gives a perfect idea of what the story is about. The narrative is gripping and enthralling, and the author has dealt somewhat perfectly with the story. It possesses all those condiments required to make a love story worth-reading. What I personally like is the way in which the author has pursued the story – systematic and accurate. This avoids confusion or incomprehensibility while one is in the course of reading it. The titles of each story, the storyline is all very good!

However, there are places where one can sense some sort of boredom and melancholy. Moreover, the story is based on a thing that used to happen, and on which several books have already been written in the past. From the point-of-view of a love story, the book is good, but when it comes to something new and unique, the book has got nothing to offer. Besides, certain things that the author has mentioned are difficult to be grasped. Also, there are a few grammatical errors that should have been treated.

But more or less, the story is good, and I think it deserves a try!

Considering everything, I am rating the book with 3.5/5. Congratulations and best wishes to the author! Hope he continues writing and comes up with something interesting next time

A heart touching story for sure.The language used is very lucid and that really helps in the smooth flow of the story. 

Well via delhi is just a complete story ,a story that you see in bollywood movies.

The cover of the book is up to the mark.

All the events of the story  are well synchronised. 

Saifuddin khan,A Mba student  and not to forget a Muslim by religion falls in love with a bengali girl name Mridu bhattacharya.

It all started via social media.

Two people ,never met in their life suddenly become soul pacifier to each other.

The story is full of twists and turns and I mean "Sharp Turns".

CB wrote about "Two states".

But this is about  "Two Religion and Two States" both.

Loving someone and saying I love you is easy; but what you do for it and what it takes to maintain it, can be seen in the story.

How Saifuddin and Mridu fight for their love and defeat that "Char log kya kahenge wali soch" is just nail biting to read.

VIA DELHI fall on that category of the books in which one just keeps on reading till the end ,totally indulged in it.

It's like a perfect story to serve the readers.

First look at the title and the cover and the the lone illusion image of a girl leaves some confusing impressions. It works in the author's favor. The title is too shrouded with mystery and there's not much to be deciphered. The blurb talks about a girl and her life's unusual occurrences which leaves her mystified. The blurb asks a number of questions which created an element of doubt in the mind of the readers. Few questions in the context of the story leave generous hints which is a blooper.

The story is set in Ahmadabad where Nishtha Vaidya is leading an abnormally sane life. Her constant vigil against the past events is futile as it comes back to haunt her in capacity. Her strength to handle the entire sequence is wane. She feeds off on the support of her family and friends yet there are few unexplained ideas in her life. So what is it she battles with? Will she be able to launch herself forward? Will life give her another chance to be normal again? That's what the story is all about.

The story has an idea which is not spoken or read of at great lengths. The story is set with chain of events which is not an everyday affair. The path of unknown is the pillar of the strength of the book.

The downside of the book is it's grammatical exposure. It turns out to be a party spoiler as the command is lost with numerous mistakes in the book. The story is hampered continuously and there's not much to work upon. The idea too is delivered with start and stops and the entire chain of events never sets in a single motion. The story turns out to be too clumsy and short to give a strong finish to the book.

All in all the story required a lot of patience and growth. It fails to excite the reader. The idea is appealing but the construction of the book is appalling. There is a story and a bright idea, yet it fades into the sands of darkness with failed attempts to revive it. The bright spot paled with the rough edges. A story with potential but average deliverance.

Scarred For Life, Healed Forever" is the latest book I finished reading. It's written by the 2nd time author- Ashwati Menon. This 126-pages novel is written with an intention of making people aware of the kind of power our brain has. It uses concept of 6th sense and intuition to tell us about some power a normal human being can have. Ashwati Menon have written the book in a very easy language which I should compliment the first thing in this review, as writing on such topic could have become complicated and hard to understand for a layman like us. It was quite evident that the writer has gone through a good research before writing on such unusual topic.

There could have been few parts where the story must have looked fake but luckily, the determination of author towards projecting this story in good light made it look possible and a story-next-door. Some scenes are written really very terrifically. You might get scared imagining the situation but that's true in some rare cases which we see in news channel sometimes. The characters are wonderfully projected by the authoress even when she wrote this in quite a short-story format. Nishtha is beautifully portrayed. Her brother, Prakash and Sahdev are another two good characters who shall be always remembered whenever this book would be a topic of discussion.

I also liked the author's choice of keeping this story short as even 10 more pages could have made it boring and unacceptable as it's not about fun and humor but written on a very serious yet interesting topic. The only drawback which I feel will work against this book is its narrative. I found the flow of the story very confusing. Author switches from one time period to another without intimating and therefore, it leads to a messy situation in a reader's mind. The flashbacks could have been written more beautifully. In all, I would give this book 3 stars out of 5- a little above average attempt.

Verdict: ‘Scarred for life, Healed Forever’ is the first book by Ashwati Menon. This is an unusual story with an equally unusual ending.

The first thing that catches the eye of the author is the cover, which is quite efficiently designed. The illusion image of a girl on the front will raise questions among the readers. But I think the cover doesn't go with the story and could have been designed in a different way. The blurb was good and gives a good outline of the story. Overall the first impression was good but doesn't say much about the content.

This story is of a Nishtha Vaidya, a girl from Ahmedabad, fighting with her super natural powers. Nishtha had a happy and caring family and a good paying job thanks to her academic skills. After going to Australia for the Foreign Student Exchange Programme, she faced Tsunami and became the only Indian to survive. That incident changed everything in her life. She lost her friends and the love of her life. Nishtha realized that she had got some super natural power and sometimes can see what is going to happen next. How she manages to cope up with this power and uses it to save lives? How these visions made her life tough? And how she came out of this trauma? That is the book all about.

The author has chosen a different story for her debut novel which is commendable but the execution is not up to the mark. The narrating style was simple and was unable to keep the reader engaged. There are scenes which could have been described in a better way. The grammatical errors were dropping the speed of the book.

The characterization was good. Almost every characters has a different role to play in the story. There is one character in the story which I think could have been ignored by the author that is of Dnyaneshwar uncle. One thing where the author needs to work is on the description of the characters. Apart from the main protagonist and the few main characters all most all characters had lacked the lime light.

The author had tried to pen down something different than the regular but the framing of the plot could have been better. I like those frequent jumping of the scenes from present to past and the end. The author has the capability of describing scenes and could do a way lot better than this. Overall a nice brave attempt by a new author.

Review:  First look of the title and the cover is simple and interesting. The cover is beautifully designed by Amol karambe. It clearly matches with the blurb which tells us about the unusual events happening with the young girl and she is helpless. The book had managed to capture the attention of the reader till the end. The Author had clearly described the mental trauma faced by the girl due to lost of her friends and love of her life. Also the way Nishtha the main protagonist handle her natural powers were commendable and very well portrayed by the Author. Earlier, she was shocked and confused, but slowly she had a good control over bad powers and she started using her power in a good way. I loved reading these events. The characters were very well described. The series of events in the book was nicely written by the author without creating confusion. The Author had perfectly created the balance between past and present. At one moment the story was at present and suddenly at another moment it jumps to post without creating confusion among the readers. The writing style is good. I enjoyed the way Author had clearly managed the confusion going inside the head of Nishtha. Overall a nice read. All the best Author.

Drawback: There were some characters which can be skipped from the story as these characters have no use. For example Dhnyaneshwar from the past and Uncle Kashi. The end should be more polished. I wanted something more from the book.

Ashwati Menon is an emerging star in literary world. She already made critics take her note through her short story in Drenched souls-Moonlit Matinee 2. ‘Scarred for Life, Healed Forever’ is her first novel and as a reviewer, as a reader I must say she has achieved what she wanted. There are very few works which can absorb my attention totally and this one made to that list. I put aside all of my tasks and continued to read the novel. I completed it in one sitting and I must say Ashwati has got awesome future in this field.

‘Scarred for Life, Healed Forever’ is story of a girl Nishtha Vaidya, who is next door girl living in Ahmedabad. She seems quite normal girl, if you meet her in a restaurant or on a road, walking by her, you won’t be able to predict anything about her. She seems quite a blessed child of God. With loving parents, caring elder brother and grand job due to her tremendous educational qualification, she seems the luckiest person on this earth. However, it is said that God has always balanced everyone’s life by giving each and everyone their share of luck and bad luck. Nishtha has also faced this wrath of God in her life and blessed or better to say cursed with some special powers. She gets selected for Foreign Student Exchange Program and goes to Australia. She is enjoying life with few friends like Paulina, Andrew and Jordan, where their ill-fate strikes them and they face Tsunami. Like a miracle, Nishtha is the only Indian to survive. Tsunami snatches away Paulina, Andrew and Jordan. This fact affects her the most and her mind power which was already active gets hyper active and she develops some powers. She has the power of visions. She can forecast upcoming events and can save people.

What this powers of influencing and forecasting will do to Nishtha?

Will she get the ultimate happiness in her life?

Novel is really a good one, at some points it seems loosening its grip but at next moment it again clutches the reader. Some points could be more clarifying and entertaining. Few characters could be given extra light, yet novel is a good read.

My overall rating for this work is 3.5/5

Author Pulkit Gupta & Ila Garg in their latest book "Life and Promises" talk about a journey where choices are indeed very difficult and time is testing you. So does the book live up to its promise? Let's find out.

First look at the title and the cover and the the freedom and the happiness of two people and the soothing colors make it all the more exciting. The title itself has a lot of promise and charges up the emotions of the person. The blurb should have been kept short and asks the right set of questions and takes the excitement of the readers to a new high.

The story is of Rachit who fulfills his dream by hardwork and joins IIT-M. But there are obstacles in his path and some serious repercussions of it. Some difficult choices and life takes a new turn for him. The new life and his love Radhika together they create mayhem as well as bring some stability. But will Rachit be able to survive the onslaught? Will he be able to stand to the test of the time? Will Radhika remain at his side when all of this ends? That's what the story is all about.

The free flowing story along with career and love hiccups makes the story very interesting. The narration has been kept simple and the book feels heavy on the mind. The emotions have been set and spread well throughout the book. The poetic verses also add a soothing effect to the story line. The surprises thrown in also create impact and binds the story together. The excitement and the inspiration and the helplessness has been reflected and highlighted in a very serene manner.

The downside of the book are some serious mistakes. One of them with the character name goof up where Khushi has been spelt as Kushi twice. Another one is where the past narration has been narrated into present form which makes it a turn off while reading the story. These mistakes break the tempo and it could have been avoided.

All in all the book has lots to offer and acts as a self help book and guidance for young readers who on an impulse make hasty decisions and end up doing nothing with their lives. The book acts as a medium of communication between the reader and the narrator. Some more polishing in the narration could have made the story line perfect but the book has remarkable strength in it to impact the thought process of the readers when it comes to career and love.

There is a different feeling while experiencing the work of someone whom you have seen from the moment the person was a "nobody". I have been talking about books from a long time which has made me friends with many Bloggers and I cherish my relations with them. One of my blogger friends, Pulkit Gupta, is associated with me from a long time. I have accepted writing Guest Post only once in my life and that was because he asked me to. Hence the moment he told me to read the PDFs that has chapters of his upcoming novel, I read it in excitement. Then he asked to send a review of it. Later I saw a cover page been released on his Facebook page with my review printed on the cover page. One needs enough courage to publish a non-author's review/comments on the cover page of his debut novel and Pulkit did it for me. Now its time to review his book in description mentioning the drawbacks too. :-)

Coming to the authors, I would say that Pulkit Gupta and Ila Garg have done a good job in writing a book collectively. While reading you won't find differences in the writing style which is effective and interesting. I also appreciate the easy language, little twists and powerful poems in between. Well, for the poems, Rachna Sheth has to be complimented as she has scripted all of them according to the demands of the story. Talking about the publishing quality, I would say that Moments Publishers have given a nice treatment to this book with good quality of cover page, white and fresh pages, nice fonts and wonderful binding. In short, if you will ask me to define this book, I would say if you are traveling a short distance of 2-3 hours by bus or train, carry this book. It would be a delight. :-)

The way story begins is a wonderful way to start a romantic tale. Keeping the book short is another USP of it as the story doesn't have much to speak. When you know that your story is a simple love tale, you shouldn't write it in more than 175-180 pages. It irritates reader. I loved the fact that even when this book was co-written, authors managed to keep the book short and straight without dragging it for 250-275 pages. The whole description of CA and how tough the course is wonderfully done. Even the situation of how he has to leave IIT and join CA is clearly defined. The emotions of father is depicted well. The climax part is an amazing treat to the readers. That's when the story gets life and it goes to an upper level than its normalcy. I will give all the marks to the climax.

Coming to the drawbacks- I didn't like the usage of double question marks (??) instead of one(?). Then there's another disappointment when I found "lol" written during face-to-face conversations within inverted commas. Authors, now can you please tell me who laughs uttering "lol" in real world? Then, there are few grammatical errors but I can ignore them as they are avoidable. Radhika's diary had a better role than her in the story. In all, I would say that it's for the people who have just got into reading love stories and for the age group between 13-20. I will give the book- 2.8/5.
